Passive House in construction

LIVE: Passive House Project

Here at Eco Frames we are having a very busy Autumn and we thought we would update you with some news and pictures on one particular project which are currently on site with.  Parmoor Barn was an old barn which is having a new lease of life, the orginal oak frame structure is being retained as an internal feature and a brand new timber frame is currently being erected, enveloping the oak frame.  Skillbond Ltd (commercial property development and investment) own the barn and commissioned architects, Danksbadnell to design a residential home which was eco-friendly.  Skillbond believe that if you are going to do something you may as well do it well and decided they wanted the project to reach Passivhaus standard.

Using the combined experience and expertise of architects Danksbadnell and Eco Frames the ambition is to achieve an airtightness of 0.6 (at least) to achieve Passivehaus Certification. Watch this space to see what we achieve!

Eco Frame Systems have full responsibility for the Timber Frame, Insulation, Roof Tiles, Air Tightness, Supply & Installation of Triple Glazed Windows and Doors (Gaulhofer).  Nick Sargent from Skillbond Ltd says 'Eco Frames have been very good, all is on schedule and the operation so far has been completely painless!'
